Bucco Bantr was founded by Adam Shorr and Scott Moore — two former college ballplayers turned passionate yinzers who live and breathe Pittsburgh baseball. The two first met through Scott’s sister in 2017 and quickly bonded over their shared love of the game, the city, and of course, the Pirates.

At the time, baseball was their escape from busy careers — Adam as a practicing attorney, and Scott working in finance. But no matter how hectic life got, they always found time for the game they loved, often catching 20–30 Pirates games a year and debating prospects, trades, and every little roster move along the way.

Eventually, those ballpark conversations turned into an idea: why not start a podcast? It began as a small side project — just two friends talking Pirates baseball once a week — but the passion and community that followed quickly took on a life of its own.

What started as a single weekly show has grown into an entire Bucco Bantr Network, featuring multiple podcasts and shows covering everything from the big-league club all the way down to the minor league affiliates. Along the way, Adam and Scott have earned media credentials, conducted exclusive player and coach interviews, and traveled to cover the team up close.

More importantly, they’ve built real relationships within the Pirates organization and community — from players and coaches to fans and fellow media members — becoming a trusted and authentic voice in Pittsburgh baseball.
